The Story of the Golden Dashboard

I made this dashboard when when we moved into this flat, because I didn't want to use that boring dashboard that you can buy on every corner. I still bought one, but only for the corkwood part, and I needed some nice frame. There is a picture framing shop near us, and it was just the season of the exciting annual clear-out when everybody throw out treasures to the street: furnitures, lamps, clothes - sometime in very good condition. You just have to go there and pick them up.... or at least, almost... because in Budapest things are not so easy... every single heap of garbage has its own "bodyguard" - and they don't keep those treasures for you, Simple Craftsman, oh, no... you can maybe buy them if you have some bargaining skills, but anyway it's better to keep away from them. Ridiculous, isn't it?

But anyway: in the evening Ricsi managed to bring me two or three frame from the rest; not the most beautiful pieces, but after a little work and painting them in gold they look pretty nice I think:

I made also a very simple calendar on it:

And the famous sheep that I got from Ireland but reminds us our trip to Scotland, where we saw more sheep than human being:

Reindeer Christmas Wreath

Later is better than never, here is some picture of our christmas wreath - witch is actually from the previous year, but as one of my friend said: "new house, old wreath, is actually a new wreath". Voilá. :)
